Missing elderly woman found dead, ruled homicide An elderly woman who police issued a Silver Alert for last week was found dead Wednesday morning. Police have ruled her death a homicide. Investigators say 75-year-old Mary Houston was found in the 800 block of Channing Place in Northeast D.C. at around 11:12 a.m. Wednesday. Authorities determined the cause of death was from blunt force injuries and asphyxiation. Anyone with information is asked to call police at (202) 727-9099. A $25,000 reward has been offered for information that leads an arrest and conviction.
